United Screens Gets New Owner
Bonnier Ventures along with the founders Malte Andreasson and Stina Bergfors have signed an agreement with RTL Group to divest all of Bonnier Venture’s shares in United Screens. The deal was closed on January 2, 2018. Prior to the transaction, Bonnier Ventures’ ownership stake in the company was at 47 percent.
Since its start in 2013, United Screens has grown into the leading multi-platform network in the Nordic region, with a focus on online video and over 500 million views per month with a broad spectrum of talented content creators.
“The executive management team has made great progress and now will be able to intensify its expansion further with RTL Group,” says Ulrika Saxon, CEO of Bonnier Ventures and Chairman of the Board for United Screens. “From Bonnier’s perspective, we’re pleased as a co-founder to have seen a positive development in our investment in the company and that United Screens has found a good home in RTL Group. We wish the team all the best for the future.”
